The Chinese New Year weekend is almost coming to an end. The season of mandarin oranges comes as fast as it goes.
Now you’ve got plenty of mandarin oranges around you, but how can you finish it before it goes bad? Here are five simple ways to help you finish those mandarin oranges.
1. Bake cookies.
The process of making these cookies is very simple. All you need is butter, sugar and flour with the zest and the juice of the mandarin orange. Mix them all together then it”s ready to eat!
If you want it a little more fancy, cut the oranges into very thin strips. Flatten the cookie dough to make an indent and place the mandarin orange strip on top.
2. Bake a cake
Mandarin oranges can easily be integrated into cakes as well. After making your cake batter, put in 1 cup of peeled mandarin oranges and mix them well together. Don’t worry about the chunks! Once baked, let it cool then put some fresh cream on the cake.
3. Juice it!
Probably the easiest way to have these fruits aside from eating them, maybe its even faster. Mandarin oranges have a lot of vitamin A and B in them. It not only makes you look more radiant and youthful, it could also prevent cancer! One cup a day could keep the doctor away.
4. Make popsicles
What can you say about tropical country weather, it’s always hot. A popsicle is a good way to cool down on a hot day. Another super simple solution, just juice the mandarin oranges, pour the juice into the popsicle mould and pop them in the freezer. A few hours later, you’ll be enjoying freshly made popsicles. Yum!
5. Fruit Salad
Feeling guilty after eating all that food this weekend? Why not make a fruit salad for breakfast or lunch tomorrow. Cut up the mandarin oranges with other fruits of your choice. You can even put yoghurt in it if you want to.
