Honeycomb Cake

HONEYCOMB CAKE

Ingredients needed :

1 cup of sugar1 cup of lukewarm water2 tbsp of butter4 eggs size A1 cup of wheat flour2 tsp of bicarbonate soda3/4 cup of concentrated milk1 tsp of Vanilla essence

Here is how its prepared :

  1. To prepares the sugar syrup : Add sugar into a wok and melt it using a medium heat. Do not cook to dark because it will taste bitter later. Then pour in the lukewarm water one at a time then stir evenly. Turn off the heat and add the butter. Stir again and let it cool for a while.

  2. Meanwhile to prepares the cake : Beats an eggs  until fluffy using a mixer  then add concentrated milk and vanilla essence. Mix until well combined.

  3. Then add mix wheat flour and bicarbonates soda into a mixture one at a time. Mix well.

  4. After that add the syrup and mix again.

  5. Then pour in the mixture into a tray brushed with a bit of butter and layered with paper oil.

  6. Set aside the cake for about 1 to 3 hours to ensure the cakes get the nice pattern. Make sure to cover the tray while it’s cool.

  7. Heat the oven first for lower heat at temperature 160 degree Celsius for 35 minutes and then heat the oven for above and lower heat for 30 minutes or until cakes is cooked.

  8. Honeycomb cakes are ready to be served.
